The Whitewater Trebuchet
Courtesy Jim McCool, who writes:
After building a small model, I started thinking in larger terms. I do whitewater rafting on local rivers, and worked out a means of building a trebuchet riverside out of my raft and oar frame. This first attempt was done while camping riverside, using available materials. 2 oars lashed together formed an A frame, with
the third oar used as the throwing arm. Drybags full of river rock were used as counterweight, a towel and tubular web from my rescue kit made up the sling.
